Dr. Woolwine received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California San Francisco before completing a residency at the well-known WhiteCap Institute for dental implant training. He was then invited to extend his time at WhiteCap Institute, where he taught courses in dental implants, tissue grafting, bone grafting, and occlusion, and became certified in IV sedation. During these years, he also traveled throughout the country providing training and mentorship to other dentists for implant surgeries.
He is passionate about and very dedicated to providing the highest level of care to his patients, and he is constantly training around the country to become the best he can be. The part he most enjoys is building lifelong relationships with patients and helping them gain the confidence that comes from a healthy and beautiful smile!
He and his wife, Kristy, have been married for over seven years and enjoy raising their three children. They are excited to be returning to Texas and are looking forward to serving and being a part of the San Antonio community. They enjoy spending their free time outdoors and traveling.
A Texas native, Dr. Tapangan grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and graduated from St. Mary’s University with a B.S. in biology, minor in chemistry. She continued her education and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Tapangan was awarded the prestigious Ultradent, Inc., Esthetic Dentistry Award, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Implant Student Award, and the UT Health Award for Clinical Excellence, as well as serving as vice president of her class. Her strides towards excellence have carried into practice, where she’s been awarded Best Dentist in San Antonio multiple times.
Dr. Tapangan’s passion for dentistry is rooted in her love for creating beautiful smiles and fostering meaningful relationships with her patients. She has completed hundreds of hours of continued education in advanced cosmetic dentistry, implant surgery, and comprehensive care. Her goal is to provide excellent dentistry and educate each patient so they feel knowledgeable and comfortable with the care they receive.
As a member of the American Dental Association®, Texas Dental Association, Texas Academy of General Dentistry, San Antonio District Dental Society and Excellence in Restorative Dental Education Seattle Study Club, and committee member of the San Antonio New Dentists Study Club, Dr. Tapangan prioritizes continuing education and providing the best, state-of-the-art treatment options for her patients.
Dr. Tapangan met the love of her life, Aaron, in college and they have 3 fur babies. In her free time, you can find Dr. Tapangan eating her way through all of San Antonio’s best restaurants!
Dr. Nancy Duque has been practicing dentistry since her graduation from the University of Michigan in 1986, where she also obtained her bachelor’s degree. Her career has taken her from Illinois to Indiana before settling in Texas in 2008. Alongside her private practice, she has shared her expertise as a faculty member at the University of Illinois at Chicago Dental School and Northwestern University Dental School. Presently, she serves as an adjunct professor at the UT San Antonio School of Dentistry.
Furthermore, Dr. Duque holds the role of regional director for the Mommy Dentists in Business group, a national organization supporting female dentists. She dedicates her time to volunteering weekly at the San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic at Haven for Hope and is an active member of the San Antonio Dental Study Club.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Duque is happily married to Tony, and together, they have an adult daughter named Margot, along with their beloved pets Roxy and Julia. Her interests include playing pickleball, traveling, and avidly supporting Michigan football.
A proud native of San Antonio, Dr. Ruiz earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a B.A. in Medical Humanities and a minor in Biology and Sociology. She continued her education and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the UT Health School of Dentistry in San Antonio. While in dental school, Dr.Ruiz was awarded the prestigious Operative Dentistry Award and the UT Health Award for Clinical Excellence.
What Dr. Ruiz loves most about dentistry is the opportunity to make a positive difference in her patients’ lives. She cherishes the relationships she builds with each individual who walks through the door, taking the time to listen to their concerns and develop personalized treatment plans that meet their unique needs. For Dr. Ruiz, dentistry is not just about fixing teeth; it’s about restoring confidence, alleviating pain, and improving overall well-being.
Dr. Ruiz is a dedicated member of prestigious dental organizations including the American Dental Association®, Texas Academy of General Dentistry, San Antonio District Dental Society, and Greater San Antonio Hispanic Dental Association. She prioritizes continuing education to ensure her patients receive the most advanced and comprehensive dental care available.
Dr.Ruiz is married to her college sweetheart, Rudy. In their free time they enjoy traveling, working out, and spending time with their loved ones.

Amazing!!! The BEST experience I’ve ever had at a dentist office. Not to mention, they have all sorts of things to make your visit more comfortable - pillows, weighted blankets, headphones, etc. but the staff? The staff is WONDERFUL! Highly recommended.
