Tooth bridges replace one or more missing teeth. Artificial replacement teeth, called pontics, are held in place by dental crowns, which are placed on the teeth adjacent to the gap. Our restorative dentists can perform this in two appointments to our Stone Oak office in northern San Antonio. First, we prepare the teeth on either side of the gap to get them ready for the crowns. We’ll take impressions of your teeth to create your bridge. At the second appointment, we’ll place the bridge, making sure the crowns perfectly cover your existing teeth and the pontic looks natural in the middle. Our dental team can adjust the fit and your bite, polishing off the crowns before you leave.
